Instrumentation: muted strings, handbells and handchimes
Comment: I felt the need for a break in the action: choir gets to sit and breathe; audience has time to reflect on what they’ve heard; handbells get the chance to be more melodic. It would be easy to add in some narration, or additional scripture, or a prayer while repeating measures 17 and 18 (violin 2, viola and cello only) or 17-20 (with echo between violin 1 and handbells).
