My church music focuses on choral and instrumental forces. From mid-2003 through mid-2005 I wrote much more instrumental music, since I did not have access to choral groups to the extent I've had in previous positions. In addition, I had a wonderful pipe organ at my disposal; it practically wrote the music itself! Since then, I've returned to a situation where I have choral as well as instrumental resources. My choral music is written for small to mid-size choirs, although several works (The Needham Psalter, Veni Creator, Isaiah's Call) were written with large groups in mind. The Liturgical Pianist includes some 36 works based primarily hymn tunes.

I will be making some of my work available for free download, for use in worship and any related non-commercial activities. If you're interested in anything I'm posting about here or on my blog before I put in links for downloads, please contact me at robert(at)adamsworks.com.

The links to the left will take you to the various types of church music I've written. Works that are not available for immediate download will also be listed and excerpted. You will also find my music at New Music Jukebox, a site of the American Music Center (after registering, select "Composers," then "Robert Adams").
